Bio Sketch: Hongguang Liu is a Ph.D. student in Prof. Wanhua Zhao and Prof. Jun Zhang’s group in the School of mechanical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to conduct a two-year research as a visiting Ph.D. student from 2017.9 to 2019.9 under the supervision of Prof. Yung C. Shin in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University. His research focuses on the microstructure-based modeling of deformation process during machining.

Bio Sketch：Xiao Yang is a Ph.D. student in Professor Wanhua Zhao’s group in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China. He was sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to conduct two-year research as a visiting Ph.D. student during September 2017 to August 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Rudolf Seethaler in the School of Engineering, University of British Columbia. His research focuses on model predictive contouring control of multi-axis machine tools.

Introduction of CSC program: The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an institution aiming to improve the training of creative and distinguished postgraduates and enhance the development of China’s higher education. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students for overseas study.
