会议简介:The IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo, Asia-Pacific (ITEC Asia-Pacific) is part of the global IEEE ITEC conference series which aims to provide a forum for sharing knowledge, experience, and ideas in electrical technologies for transportation. Technical sessions, tutorials, exhibitors, and industry activities are planned. This international conference is co-sponsored by the IEEE Industry Applications Society, the IEEE Power Electronics Society, the IEEE Power and Energy Society, and the IEEE Transportation Electrification Community. The ITEC Asia-Pacific 2023 is organized and hosted by the Center of Excellence in Electrical Power Technology (CEPT), Chulalongkorn University and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) in technical collaboration with the IEEE Joint IAS/IES/PELS Thailand Chapter and Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), and will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Title: Optimization of hybrid energy storage system and energy management for aerial vehicles

Abstract: To improve the operation efficiency and reduce fuel consumption of the hybrid energy storage system (HESS) in aerial vehicle applications, this paper proposes a modified active hybrid energy storage system construction. An automatic switch is added, such that the modified system can operate in separate or combination modes according to the power demand. In joint operation mode, an optimization-based model predictive control (MPC) energy management strategy (EMS) is designed to allocate the output power of the two energy sources. Simulation analysis and experimental validation are conducted, and results show that compared to the conventional active system, the modified HESS and the EMS improve the operation efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
