The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is an organization aiming to enhance the training of innovative and distinguished postgraduate students and promote the development of higher education in China. Over the past several years, CSC has sponsored many talented Chinese students to study overseas. From July 2021 to August 2022, Mr. Hanbo Yang was sponsored by CSC to carry out research work as a visiting PhD student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) under the supervision of Prof. Ong Soh Khim and Prof. Nee Yeh Ching, Andrew. In this presentation, a brief introduction to NUS will be given. A systematic report about his research work on the microservices-based cloud-edge collaborative condition monitoring platform will also be made. In addition, the living and cultural experience in Singapore will be presented.
